Dawn Prosser here from COUNTRY MUSIC CITY PROMOTIONS spent the evening at the Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, Ohio Thursday evening March 26th, and was lucky enough to be in the presence of what great talent is in the Georiga based group Parmalee. Brothers Matt Thomas (lead guitar, vocals) and Scott Thomas (drums) with cousin Barry Knox (bass) and long time childhood friend Josh McSwain(guitar) consist of the group performing their highly successful previous hit singles “Musta Had A Good Time”, “Carolina”, and “Close Your Eyes” to their newest single “I'm Already Callin' You Mine” in which a brief moment that is set for the books, a power outage. It would not stop them from performing either, the place was at a stand still until fans flipped their cell phones around to shed some light on the acoustic set, it made it an epic night as I would say and a moment I'll never forget. The video footage says it all, and an example how things that go wrong can turn out to be oh so right. You can view the video in it's entirity at my personal YouTube page, Dawn Prosser. I was impressed at the core of Parmalee's dedication as opossed to the opening act, Clark Manson fell flat at times forgetting the words to what he was singing. There wasn't a spark and no connection to the audience. Generally speaking the night didn't loose it's shine all together Parmalee made it all that much better with songs from their debut album Feels Like Carolina, “My Montgomery”, “Day Drinkin'”, “I'll Bring The Music” and “Move” to a medly of Family Tradition and Fireball. Parmalee is no flash in the pan, and will remain around for a long time.

Want more Parmalee?, see it online. I want to thank Shellie Palmer of COUNTRY MUSIC CITY PROMOTIONS for this opportunity I'll never forget. She calls me her right hand these days.
