Kingston Wows Dusty Armadillo Crowd 1-17-15

Goin One On One With Kingston

At the age of 14 The Carter Twins were just getting their young feet wet in country music and the ride would be a journey they would never forget. Their 2009 debut top 50 single "Heart Like Memphis" made them the youngest duo in country music. Fast forward to 2012 the Carter Twins went under a new stage name Kingston and released "Dear Someone" in March that year. Since then have written several songs for other artists, Zach and Josh Carter are not only performers their songwriters who's magic touch with words and stories make them unique just as they are. As the story goes when one writer intertwines with songwriters lets just say the conversation flows effortlessly. Saturday

January 17,2015 Kingston was welcomed to the hottest venue in Rootstown, Ohio.  Opening for Phil Vassar at the Dusty Armadillo Kingston brought charm and young swag to the club. 20 somethings were swooning and felt they were the only one's in the building. Zach and Josh mingled with everyone of every age. During their opening set performed newly written originals "Co-Pilot",  "In My Final Hour" , "Count To 10" & "5c".  To great surprise performed Sam Smith's

"Stay With Me".  Their biggest achievement as songwriters is the newly released Casey James single "Fall Apart". "Fall Apart" is a Kingston song no one else can tackle, or could any artist tackle such an emotional raw authentic beautiful ballad? , as you ponder the question. The performance of "Fall Apart" was more than what I expected, it far succeeded my expecations. All together the 35 minute acoustic set was impressive. Then it was time to get right to it, I was paitent to let them meet and greet more before trying to find that quiet place to sit down one on one for the first time. Kingston holds true to treating fans like friends and I witnessed it right there.
