A Country Music City Promotions Design

Country music fans aren't shy to speak their minds, especially what they like or not like and at times a fan who's loyally dedicated to their favorite country star usually sticks to them like glue or in some cases will sugar coat what they hear just to keep peace in the fan base.

What I enjoy and love the most in the country music industry is getting the fans thoughts, so I asked fans recently who they'd rather see perform live, the answers will floor you.

Sunday June 8,2014

I never know how a fan will react when I ask them questions about their favorite country artist and what type of country music they like, as we know country music has several cross genre sounds. I talked to a recent country music fan and was pleasantly happy to hear how much she still loves the traditional sound of country music. "What do you think of the cross over songs in country music", I asked. "I prefer old school country", she said. It was so nice to hear that sound as I myself still and will always enjoy the traditional sound of country music even though there are cross over songs I like just as much. It was nice to see this fan with her blinged out country style purse and shirt she had on. Country girls know how to dress.

I talked to a married couple who saw Kenny Chesney in concert last year, and what they told me would shock you.  "I really like Kenny's music, but his live performances just doesn't do it justice, it's all party driven, for me it wasn't family oriented; you won't see me attending his shows in the near future." "I agree with my wife, it wasn't all cracked up to be, it was all surrounded by the hype of  a large beer drinking crowd". The couple told me they are attending a Jason Aldean show this year and are more excited to see him live with Luke Bryan". Needless to say Kenney Chesney should reconsider mass marketing to his general audience, toning down the party scene.

Eric Church fans have poured into venues to see the man  perform live, so what is it about Eric Church that draws a person near him? I recently had a fan encounter and I must say I was impressed. "I felt as if I was the only woman above the age of 25 among the young crowd, I didn't care, I had fun! the place was packed, great show! Country music fans are of all ages as I had recently met a young girl who was most likely 19 or 20, her favorite, the traditional sounds of honky tonk

" Loretta Lynn, she's so great", she told me. I had to ask in return "do you like Merle Haggard?" she replied, "yes I do!" "I love all music really, country music is the best, I can't wait for the concerts to start". This girl really blew me away and left me super impressed by her love of the great traditional sound of country music. We have a winner!!

Country music fans,WOW! What can I say you continue to surprise me. I met a fan earlier today, he was wearing a t-shirt from the first year of CMA Music Fest, yes this is correct 2008 was the first year CMA Music Fest began. Back then of course CMA Music Fest wasn't as big as it is today. The gentleman I spoke with was actually quite surprised by the numbers of the 2012 CMA Music Fest held earlier this summer. 5 years now going on 6 CMA Music Fest has brought many fans together with their favorite country artist. Country Music as a whole has become the largest format of music from any other genre.

New surprises, different day, in recent weeks I've met some amazing country fans, one young lady in particular. I was absolutely fascinated to learn her favorites and what sound she prefers. "Jamey Johnson, I really like what he does", she told me. "His voice is so different, and it's the stuff I like the most in country music", she said. "I'm really into the traditional stuff, like Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings". Talking to her was a wonderful experience as I like the traditional sound myself, Johnny Cash and Tom T. Hall, they were country's story tellers before Vince Gill, Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. Everyone has a story to tell.

Casey James fans are of all ages, it was no surprise how loyal James' fans are, their fun to hang out with. When Casey James returned to the Dusty Armadillo September 28, 2013 I met with a group of ladies from the Casey James Team, Beth, Dawn, Pam, and Lori all who either brought gifts to Casey or simply wanted to spend the time with him. I was in for a treat, Casey himself was happy to see these ladies during his hour long set. Hugs were exchanged during the meet and greet and I for one find hugs contagious giving hugs before I left the club. It was a night I will never forget.

Country music fans are every day people who surprise me in more ways than I can ever expect. I met a very approachable young lady Courtney at Best Buy in North Canton, Ohio while shopping for a Christmas gift. She was actually the associate and had been with the store for only a couple of weeks, still new to the store, she was friendly and quite informative of the item she was selling to me, I ended up making the purchase. At one point country music came into the conversation, she absolutely loves country music, "believe it or not but I adore Alan Jackson, he's so amazing, it's not country music without him", she told me. Among Alan, she likes Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. " I don't care what others think of her, she's awesome and I absolutely love her songs", she explained. I absolutely love to hear and see the expressions on people's faces when they tell me how much they love country music. I love the interaction with the fans and to get their thoughts and opinions is pretty cool. Thank you Courtney at Best Buy!!
